Unhappy Switching to different PC

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hello, I have been running Centos 4 email server on an old compaq computer and finally got a new HPProliant DL385 G5P AMD Operton 64.

Is there any way or any guides on how to transfer the os and email settings from one machine to the other.

tried to upgrade to centos 5 and start from scratch, but the nic cards do not seem to see the network. the cards are labeled eth1,2,3,4 and the os sees them as eth0.1.2.3

it will not activate the nic when tring to do dhcp and it does not see the network when i put on a static ip.

thanks in advance

HP is a strong supporter of Linux. They have a lot of documentation on the subject of running Linux on HP hardware.

Google search:
"HP Proliant DL385 G5P linux"

Starting point:
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/se...nuxInstall.pdf

Your server:
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/s...vers-cert.html

You should have been able to figure this out by yourself.
