Suse Linux : Login Prompt Does not Load

Hello,
I dont have login prompt after loading OS , i only see mouse cursor, now i cant use my laptop.(i have the same problem in safe mode),

PLZ HELP.....

Which version of Suse Linux?
Is this a new install?
Did you have it installed and you just started having this problem?

Enough ram?

Did you test install cd before you tried it?

Did it work in live (assuming it was live)?

My laptop is 4520s hp , 4G ram , 500 G HDD ...
Linux Version == Suse 11 Enterprise Desktop
i was trying to install glib and for installing new version of that i should remove two or three files related to it as described in INSTALL file ,after restart faced with this problem.
i dont know how to use it in live mode .

by the way when i type "startx" i get this error
resource temporarily unavailable (errorno 11) : unable to connect to X server
No Such process (errorno 3) : server error

i could start X window in "init 3" mode but without panel....
