I guess if try and error loading those generic network card modules doesn't work and no other card available then...

Try the hard way

Download SuSE's United Linux (available as usual: linuxiso.org)

Burn CD1 and CD2 (no need CD3)
Boot and install from those 2 CDs

Now plastic surgury

Install available SuSE's 8.1 rpms onto UL 1.0
Install apt for SuSE (needed to back YaST2)
Install fou4s (needed to back automatic YOU)

You won't regret until 8.2 available for download ;-)

Have a lot more fun :-)

Final Solutions

Either way you guys wana want to install the suse in primary or secondary.

For primary if u dont get to stuck to microsoft windows then there is no need to do much just insert the cd and go on with the setup but if u need to have dual booting of both the windows along with the suse then u need to mount the hda 1 and hda 0.

Here hda 0 will be for the windows partitions and while the hda 1 will be used for the suse linux, while setting these things i recommed u to use the freeware partition software called ranish partition manager.

Same applies to the secondary hdd, but though u can install it on the secondary hdd but i still recommend u to make a boot partition in the primary with atleast 16 mb size.

Signing off bye and hope this cud solve ur problem.
