Strange Path problem(?)

Hello good people,

I am trying to install KPodder (a podcast aggregator for KDE). Should be a simple sequence, according to the instructions (all this in Konsole, after unpacking the archive):

./configure

make

[log on as root]

make install

The process fails right at the "./configure" step with this message:

checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!

I adjusted my path, so that the "echo $PATH" command gave this output:

PATH=/usr/X11R6/include:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin/:/usr/games:/usr/lib/qt3//bin:/home/

Tried to run "./configure" again, which returned the exact same result.

Any thoughts, anyone?

Many thanks in advance

[PS: I should add I'm running Mandriva Free 2007]

You need to install the xorg development libraries. They are usually named something like libxorg-x11-devel, xorg-devel or other similar names.
