start up directly onto desktop with no password or login

I am running Debian Wheezy with xfce desktop. I am a single user and do not plan to have network connection other than updates / downloads. This is for a car computer application (32 bit dual core A20) and I would like it to start automatically into desktop with no login. Security will not be a problem as wifi will be the only network connection and will be offline most of the time. I guess another option would be to let it go into standby and leave the power continuous but sitting for extended periods of time will drain the battery. Not trying to get too fancy, mostly nav & heavy metal.
Thanks..

Or "something like that", depending on the DM used. I believe debian's standard DM is GDM, not lightdm.

In which case:

If the installation was with the debian xfce install disk it is lightdm
