maybe i should ad that i am runnung linux on a microsoft virtual pc which emulates a "ISA soundblaster 16" which i have configured according to microsoft article "KB824513 - How to instal a Linux Virtual PC"... i have no trouble playing audio CD's but as far as midi and MP3 goes.... there is NOGO
Same problem, only i'm in Fedora Core 2. Here ya go.

If your playing cd's then your sound is working. You'll need to look into midi support and mp3 support. Although I cannot think of a reason either of these don't work w/mandrake, unless you don't have the proper programs installed.

Hi, you should probably start your own thread with your problem, and any pertinent info. On another note, I see that you have two sound cards, both try to share the same irq, which could be the problem.
