1 - I'm using 5.6 version (Very usefully ; always OK). Beginning from 5.3 . It covers all my needs
2 - My hardware : Hp ze4900 , Celeron M 1.5 , 512 K ram , 2 pen's 16GB and CDcard 16GB. System is 4GB ,first pen partition . No disc drive .
3 - Slacko 5.7 CD burned with CDBurnerXP .
4 - Upgrading the 5.6SFS or doing a initial installation , system falls with a lot of faults "no sync ; panic kernel etc." .
5 - Seems to be a problem with kernel level .
6 - Tried : by web , problem yet related ; all others system CD's made with CDBurner and was working well .

Kernel panic for me sometimes is a corrupted iso download.
That is why I use wget.

Thanks rokytnji . I 've followed the information with all CD's . Checksum was always OK !
Symptoms are : vmlinux and initrd.gz take 1 second to load while 5.6 version takes 4 or 5 !
After message "Loading Kernel modules" a lot of errors coming to screen as no sync , abort ,kernel panic . As I said , 5.6 is quite enough for my needs , but if possible , I test to go ahead . Any problem with Kernel_architecture isn't adjusted with "Celeron M 1.5 processor" .
I tried to update using my 5.6_SFS ; the operation seem to be OK , but "panic kernel" is there , before terminate ! Next days I w'll find to test again and send the frustrate image of my screen .
