Slacko 5.3.3 INTERNET PROBLEM!!!

Hello everyone. Ok so I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 1.4Ghz with 2gb of ram and I am running Slacko 5.3.3 the problem I am having is weird. I have tried connecting to the internet with not luck. I have used all of the network set up tools. The only tool that "connects" is Frisbee. But the problem is it says I am connected and states that it has successfully connected with IP address and everything but when I go to use the browser it says I am not connected and will not load web pages. I have tried wireless and wired connection with the same problem. Can anyone help??? I used dmesg command and it shows I am using a Broadcom 4318 WLAN card if that helps. And dmesg states that "Broadcom 43xx driver loaded. So I am confused. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

More info

Ok so I checked the dmesg and a little further down it states:

b43-phy0 ERROR: Firmware file "b43/b0g0bsinitvals5.fw" not found

b43-phy0 ERROR: Firmware file "b43-open/ucode5.fw" not found

b43-phy0 ERROR: You must go to http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/...devicefirmware and download the correct firmware for this driver version. Please carefully read all instructions on this website.

Ok so I am assuming that I dont have the appropriate drivers. Since I only have Slacko running the entire hard drive and no longer have Windows, is there a way I can download the driver and put it on a usb drive and unpack that way??? Will I need any special software to do this. Thanks in advance for any help.

So.....

Is it possible to download the b43 driver on another computer and put it on a usb drive or maybe even on a cd???? I want to get this issue resolved. I read that Racy and Wary latest versions dont have this problem but I dont want to switch to them unless its a last resort because I really enjoy Slacko. Plus Slacko comes with Slickpet. Please if anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Did you put the firmware in the right place? It is normally at /lib/firmware
Also try the firmware from Slacko repos, yet another place to get it is: http://www.omattos.com/node/6
