Shortcut to launch a terminal from alt-f2 using xfce on debian wheezy

hi guys,

how do you launch a terminal using hot key combo in xfce on debian?
i suppose you have to map a key combo to launch a terminal
you can use key mapping
but the problem is from alt-f2 it asks to run and nothing im trying
is opening a shell

terminal
bash
shell

doesnt work any ideas on the best way...i would like to hit alt and s or t to quickly launch a terminal

thanks..

Have you tried going to:
Settings -> Settings Manager -> Keyboard

When you run alt-f2 and it gives you a command window, you need to type the name of your terminal emulator. konsole, gnome-terminal, xfce4-terminal, xterm, etc.

You can launch a console using the combination Ctrl-Alt-(F1 to F6) if that's what you want to do. You get back to your gui using Ctrl-Alt-F7.
