Sharing a kernel among two distros

Hello
I run Fedora 2 and Debian on a multiboot system and was wondering if I could make both of them share a /boot directory in order to share a kernel. I was going to update to kernel 2.6.xx and was hoping to only have to compile it once. If any one has any ideas that would be great.
Thanks in advance

Two things spring to mind:

1.) If FC has inherited much from RH, then the
kernel they use isn't the stock kernel of kernel.org
which debian uses...
2.) If you use modules you'd have to copy
/lib/modules/2.6.x from one distro to the other.

Cheers,
Tink
