Hi all!

I would like to know how to enable W2K and WinXP users (on a home network) to be able to pull files from a (just one general purpose directory) directory on a Linux box. I don't want them to be able to log into the linux box. I just want them to be able to SFTP into the box to get files and nothing else.

I will be permiting a couple of my friends on the internet the ability to do so as well. I am running Libranet with OpenSSH already installed. They are going to be using Filezilla (I saw it on Tech TV).

How do I go about setting up keys? How do they set up keys? How does this all work?

I suggest you go to the putty website and download the sftp program they have built. This is command line and works fine, I use it all the time. You have to make sure you have correct permissions setup of course so they can't navigate anywhere else.
