I am just installing CUPS , the print server right now, so I can't help too much, but the manual is here: http://www.cups.org/sum.html
The ethernet card should be pretty easy though. I don't use your knoppix (i've never heard of it), but I bet there's a graphical configuration tool for the network stuff (are you using a window manager like KDE or GNOME?).
Now, i don't mean to scare you here BUT: the driver for your card MIGHT not be compiled into the kernel.... just get back to us if you can't get it to work with the graphical network config stuff.
Common Unix Printing System. Check out www.cups.org ... the site that i gave you earlier was for the user manual, but you need the administrator manual if you are going to set up a printer. Really, I wish i could tell you more, but I am working on that as we speak... maybe someone else will know.
Sorry to jump in, but may I ask how you got the 82562ET network working? I have been fighting to find the right driver in Debian bf24 and I have had no luck getting it to work.
Currently, I don't have a network driver compiled into the kernel so I don't know if I should be able to use the graphical tools. Can you tell me where they are? I'm using kde right now. Anyway, thanks in advance.
