Unhappy Service unavailable

Hi,

I tried to make sendmail working in a very basic system. To make simple, I intend to start with using the smtp of my isp (club-internet.fr) which is working well.

The log says something is unavailable, but I do not see which service or else is missing ?

presumably the external smtp server will not allow relaying for other domains, pretty wise normally. your sendmail should already be set up to send out mail from localhost, just try it.

I tried to send out mail from localhost

I tried the normal way, but was unsucessful too. My post yesterday about this problem remains unanswered.

I have no domain name for the system used for trial, and I don't know how I should configure sendmail to avoid that the mails I send appear as from : "localdomain" which is obviously unknown by the recipient's host and rejected.

Thanks if you can help.
