sendmail smart host configuration

Hi everyone. I went in to my sendmail.mc, but have a question before i mess something up. the define(`SMART_HOST') line has a dn1 at the beginning and the end of it. Do I need to remove either, neither, or both after I add my domain in there, before I rebuild my sendmail.cf file?

I believe you need to remove dn1 from both ends of the line.

You might test the generation of a sendmail.cf file and see whether it includes the correct smarthost "DSsmarty.example.com" before using it.

OK, thanks, I'll have to give it a shot during my next downtime. How do you make it rebuild the .cf file though, I've seen you either do a make or you do an m4, but i'm not sure which is correct.
