Seeing background dpwnloads in links2/gentoo

HI,

How does one see anything sent to background ie. tarball download, when using links2 in gentoo?

Is links2 avaiable in all distros?

Why is there not a forum for Gentoo?

A, don't know. I presume that you download whatever, then do a search for it on your own system.

B, yes, as far as I'm aware, though if you can use a graphic browser, what's the point!

C, as I understand it, all of the different "distro" forums, have someone who is connected with the development of the distro in some way who contributes to the specific forum in some capacity - I presume that they visit and answer some questions from time to time. Gentoo, may, at some point in future, do this, though when you can find out, or ask pretty much anything at their own forums, there may not necessarily be enthusiasm for that. You can find the gentoo forums here

Regards

John
