samba questions

1: I added andy to the smb domain by using this command

smbpasswd -a andy

Now, if I want to check if Mary was in the smb domain. How do I check?

2: I ran this command

smbclient -L 202.123.123.168 -U andy
Password: i key the password here, the smb password
then the result

session setup failed: NT_STATUS_CANT_ACCESS_DOMAIN_INFO

But the ip above is a Linux box, not a NT/Windows box. Why do I get such error?

i have solved question 2 . it was because of the smb.conf file, i have to comment the

security=domain.

I still need the answer for question 1.

check /etc/samba/smbpasswd file if it contains a line for mary
then she is a member of samba domain.
