1. open file
2. edit
3. save
4. restart/reload samba

What kind of configuration do you need? What do you want to achieve? What have you tried?
You may try to read man smb.conf about possibilities and/or look for tutorials and examples on the net.

Lucky you getting an interview!

Yes, They may try "trick" questions like that.
Of course the general answer is: "You don't".
Then explain why and your alternatives like nulling out logs.
Just be sure of any implications of your actions. ;-)
In another words, be informed and tread carefully
else
panic may ensue --!

I wish you much success!
All the best.

Tim

Hi balajireddy789,

Welcome to LQ!

Please understand that threads have titles and a topic.

Unless I am misunderstanding your question regarding lun (logical unit numbers?),
This might be a question that deserves its own thread as
it seems unrelated to the title "samba configuration steps".

You may also want to review the posting rules/guidelines to enjoy the best experience from our forums.

In particular, see "When posting in an existing thread, ensure that what you're posting is on-topic and relevant to the thread" in the rules\guidelines linked above.

Also FYI, see Posting in the correct forum.

Thanks and all the best,
Tim
