safe removal icon disappeared

Hi, my safe removal icon has gone from my toolbar, how do I get it back.I have an acer aspire one notebook.It used to appear in the bottom of my screen and in the window sidebar...but now has gone totally. Thanks

you mean from the taskbar? Are you running gnome or kde?

from my toolbar and when I open a window 2 transfer files it no longer shows the devices in the window either. I am running linpus lite operating system

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with linpus on netbooks.
If I was in your situation, the first thing I would do is ditch linpus and install a full fledged linux distro meant for netbooks.
Perhaps someone here is running linpus to help you.
