"safe" Partitioning with Linux

Hi

I was wondering if somebody could recommend a tool to use in linux so that I can resize my / partition (sda6) reasonably safely, without too much risk to losing my data.

Also I'm going to be deleting an old Windows partition (sda3) that I no longer use to make room, anything I should be aware of with Grub or anything?

I don't know if this is relevant, but I'm running RH9.

Thanks,

Jim

so long as you back up your data any partitioning software is safe. It depends on what your doing to the partition.

Is there any particular one you would recommend? To my knowledge (which isn't very deep in this particular topic) fdisk won't let me resize, is that correct?
