Running a program

Okay I know this is the most retarded question ever but I compiled rosegarden music software did everything right even the make install but I don't know how to run the software. I installed it from in my home directory. It's killing me 'cause I know it's the most stupid thing and I know I installed right. So could someone please tell this newbie how to start the software. Also I was on the thread for a V.90 56K modem where there was an RPM for the modem driver but everytime I went there I Got a page couldn't load. So I could'nt dl the file (proboly since my only internet connection is window for now, but I'm dieing to get linux up and kill win for my hd). So if you have that rpm file please send it to (bbm050105@yahoo.com). Thanks everyone for helping newbs like me.
