I'm not using Fedora anymore but that kernel update should be available through your update manager.Did you checked if it's available? If it's not there,it should be very soon or maybe you need to refresh available updates so that new updates will be available to you.Even though it's been posted on Linux Security that

Product : Fedora 10
Version : 2.6.27.12
Release : 170.2.5.fc10

should be the last 2.6.27 kernel update for Fedora 10 (2.6.28 update kernel is being tested),I guess that Fedora team made one more update to 2.6.27 (that's why your update manager said that you need that kernel update) because I don't think that rpmfusion repo would have that specific update for your wireless card available otherwise.
Maybe you're just booting into different kernel when you start your computer than the one needed by that package, even if you have it installed. You can post the output of
uname -a and
gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst commands so that we can see what's goin' on.
