Question RStudio for Slackware

Has anybody had experience running RStudio for linux in Slackware's linux? The CRAN site that one can download RStudio from says it's linux compatible, but on point of downloading askes if the platform is RedHat, Debian, Ubuntu, orOpenSUSE only (no Slack).

Might have to build it from source.

I've never used Slackware; but, to my understanding, it is not designed to be under the same constraints of systems that rely on package management by default. I think it's more of a do-it-yourself go-your-own-way distro? If I was running Slackware, from what I've seen of this software, I imagine I'd be building it myself from source; upon doing so, I'd be able to re-distribute pre-compiled binaries if I saw fit. Maybe I'll give Slackware a spin... It's one of the oldest GNU systems/Linux distributions; I believe. Anyway. Good luck.

RStudio for Slackware

There's a slackbuild for the desktop version.

Is this what you're looking for?

Thank you all! This can be marked solved as soon as I learn how to do that.

There is another issue, tho'. The application that follows from http://slackbuilds.org/repository/14...tudio-desktop/ lacks the paths back to CRAN, so you can't get R packages from this installation of RStudio. Do you know how to get back to the CRAN packages?
