You have tried with wrong password. or you go to single user mode change the password using passwd.

BE WARNED using that hack is not recommend and it DOSE have some UNWANTED side effects
that are not good .

you have been warned -- do not log into Gnome as root !!!

use the " su - " command from the terminal.

i just pasted some files into home directory and then revert back all the settings.
is that so much harmfull
