rewrite engine problem


I have a server with webmin in it .
my script runs rewrite engine for URLS
I realized when I change AllowOverride none to all
i get 500 Inernal Error . tried almost 4 pages of google searches nothing seems to work . please help me.
Rewrite engine module uncommented / Write module it's on

Hi,

You should have a look at apache (I guess you're running apache) error_log to find the reason.
My guess is that since you enable the use of .htaccess, there is some problem in that file that gives the 500 error
