Welcome back to LinuxQuestions! Just out of curiosity, why didn't you use your original account? You could recover the password, if lost.

The reason that I did not use my previous Log-On; was that I am about to transfer from Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) to Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS (64-bit PC). In doing a clean install previously I ran into problems with Microsoft and HP in transfering some of my files. When I went back to Windows for E-Mail, my Log-On at GNU/LINUX was different and it would not let me in. I also did not have a Manuel (UBUNTU Linux/ William von Hagen) which helped with terminology used in your distros, setting up partitions, etc.
