restriction of sender and receiver in sendmail


Hi all
i have a problem
i have installed redhat 5.3 and install sendmail on it.
it is working perfectly fine.
my question is

(1) can i restrict the sender and receivers email in sendmail?
eg. i want to do that i want to allow only particular email addresses to send and receive and all other will be discarded

(2) i made aliases for all user but it only receives received mail copy i want both sent and receive mail copy in aliases.

please give solution

Hi,

1.) take a look at sendmails access file, there you can configure which domains will be allowed to send/retrieve mail.

2.) Mail for an alias will be automaticaly transfered to the physical adress the alias is mapped to, there will be no copy.

For detailled information take a look at sendmail.org, there are plenty of documents containing brief description how sendmail works and what files to configure in which case.

Thank you for replying.

(1)But there is no Option available in sendmailmc file.
There is a option of blacklist.

(2)for aliases i want to transfer sent mail to particular user.

which option in sendmail.mc you are looking for?
