restore original chown permissions on VPS Centos


well, by mistake i ran a command and chown the whole server apache:apache

now, i can't do anything... is there a way to restore the original permissions??

Well I am not sure if there is any reversal method... there is the manual method. Set everything to root:root and then change what needs to be changed to which other permission as you come along them... alternatively if it's a VPS do you have a back-up?

Actually it looks like you have duplicated your post and you were already given the answer.

ah... not really. as, i can't even login to root. i may have to shut down the server and get a new one.

any tips before i do that???
