resizing issues

ok I know it sounds like a stupid question but I have a problem everytime I expand my vmware player window all my icons would disarrayed so I open up randr and now I cant minimize my vmware player window! I click on the restore icon and it just shows me the bottom part of my player (harddrive network) and I try to disable randr by clicking the disable tab but I cant seem to. so now I'm stuck with a full vmware player screen and no way to minimize it anyone have any ideas
