Hi All just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction


I have been using slax for a while for data recovery and just trying to learn, but..... here it comes lol.

I have it running on a Live Cd at the mo, can slax be used to fix the mbr of an XP hard disk, i am unable to run The recvoery console or Windows PE 2.0 as it just crashed when using Chkdsk.

i can see all the users data on SDA2 and it looks fine,but i dont want to transfer all the data if i can repair the corrupt partition tables etc.

You can use 'test disk' which is on 'SystemRescueCd'.
