Removing .gz2

Basically I've downloaded something that that has .tar.gz2 and I can't remember how to remove the .gz2 for the life of me. My handbook of goodies says how to remove .tar.gz, but the instructions for that doesn't work for my paticular file. Also, I'm on FC3. I installed most of the packages, skipped mostly devolopment and some other things, but isntalled most everything I thought I might ever need or remembered having installed in the past.

Are you sure it's not ".bz2"?

You, sir, are a genius. The questions still stands though: How do I remove it?
