Hi Guys,
I'm totally new to Linux, so please be gentle with me ;-) I have a good knowledge of MS O/S's and thought it was high time I picked up a 'real' OS ...
Hence I installed a fresh copy of RedHat 9, which worked like a charm. My problem is that I want to be able to remotely view the Linux desktop. Now speaking as someone who has WinXP as my other machine, I need to be able to administer the RedHat box from my WinXP desktop.
I have downloaded the VNC viewer for my WinXP machine, and I've installed the VNC app on the RedHat box. I can connect to my RedHat machine using the VNC viewer on my WinXP machine and that works great. However, I have to manually start the VNCServer executable on the RedHat box, and this is where I'm struggling.
What I really want to do is have VNC running all the time on the RedHat box, so that if I remotely reboot it, I can Terminal back into it again after the machine restarts.
I've looked all over to try and figure this out, but I just can't seem to get it to work. Please, please, please can someone help me figure this out?
Many thanks in advance
Greg.
