Hello guys!
I need redirect serial port from ONE computer to ANOTHER computer, and at the another send this port to VirtualBox with WindowsXP. VB needed because i need to use software for windoze

I do this:
ONE computer:
socat tcp-l:54321,reuseaddr,fork file:/dev/ttyS0,nonblock,waitlock=/var/run/tty0.lock

ANOTHER computer:
socat pty,link=/tmp/ttyS0,waitslave tcp:ONE:54321

Now (at ANOTHER) i've set serial port in VirtualBox as
COM1, HostDevice, /tmp/ttyS0

After starting VirtualBox popup warning message:
"The virtual machine execution may run into an error condition as described below. We suggest that you take an appropriate action to avert the error.
Ioctl failed for serial host device '/tmp/ttyS0' (VERR_INVALID_PARAMETER). The device will not work properly.


Error ID: DrvHostSerialFail
Severity: Warning "

But this not quite for me. I've already configured VirtualBox's serial port. All ok, but ioctl in error "The device will not work properly." Very strange message.
