recover panel


Hi all. I've just deleted by accident the panel at the upper-left corner. How to recover if? also now with out panel i can't use a terminal. I pressed right button and selected a terminal but nothing hapopends

Please provide us with details of your distribution. Otherwise we can't help, since this is a platform dependent problem.

Which desktop do you use?
If you use kde, it is the kicker panel. First if it is running:

If it is kde, hit [ALT]-[F2] (the run dialog popup) and enter "konsole". This will start the terminal.

ps -u <your user name>

If it shows up, kill the old one and restart it:
killall kicker
kicker

Another useful shortcut is [ALT]-F1 which brings opens up the menu.
