re-display applications in ssh after loss of connection

I am using ssh to remotely connect to my computer and run some graphical applications.
But, ocacssionally, the comp. gets disconnected. When I reconnect, although the applications are running, I cant see the display.
Can anyone help me in figuring this out?

Thanks,

Shyam

They shouldn't still be running. When the ssh connection is closed, it closes all tunneled X connections, which should cause the apps to exit (the same thing happens locally when X crashes). There is no way to instruct an X11 client to reconnect to a server, so if your apps are still running, you might as well kill them.
