Post Raw Files...

Hi sycamorex,
Sounds just like what I want, as I do want to edit my pics as well...

So I downloaded it and did tar xvf LightZone, etc. It produced a folder with the files in it, but once again when I try ./configure, it says no file or directory, and I had changed to the right directory...

But I found a shell script file that sort-of runs lightzone... But again it seems only partly functional.. How do I do it properly, how do I add an icon for it and where?

It's still a bit beyond me... Who used to program Z80 processors, use assembler coding, etc... What went wrong?? (Anyone into PIC programming, I did a bit).

Once again, many thanks to all.

Regards
Mel

Hi cactusface,

What do you mean 'partly functional'?

yes, it's not a tarball with a source code.
you do not need to compile it from scratch.
It's actually simpler than compiling. It uses java.
$ cd LightZone
$ ./LightZone

And that's it (make sure you have got java installed)

As far as the icon is concerned, you need to create a launcher on
your desktop (right-click) and enter the path to the LightZone file.
HTH
