RANCID (Really Awesome New Cisco confIg Differ )

Linux based RANCID setup.

Does this forum also assist in Free BSD questions or Linux only?

Can someone please assist in providing some guidelines on how to install or rather setup my server to operate Linux RANCID ?

Brief Summary of what RANCID does;

•login to each device in the router table (router.db),
•run various commands to get the information that will be saved,
•cook the output; re-format, remove oscillating or incrementing data,
•email any differences (sample) from the previous collection to a mail list,
•and finally commit those changes to the revision control system

What have you tried so far? You haven't provided any resources either. I was able to find it via Google but you shouldn't make life hard for the people you're asking support. A little extra leg work goes a long way. Looks like the documentation for RANCID is comprehensive. You should read it and start setting up. Post when you get stuck.
