Question regarding MSA Connectivity ?


I have a question regarding MSA 2000 connectivity to HP Proliant server running RHEL 4 Update 6.Is it necesssary to have SAN Switch to connect MSA 2000 to HP Proliant Server?

You've left out important information like the interface on the Array.. the MSA 2000 comes with either: SAS, Fiber Channel, or iSCSI interface.

If you are connecting the switch to a single server, then I would think you could do a direct connection between the server and array with any of those interfaces it would just act as a DAS device. (Direct attached Storage)
