[SOLVED] Question Concerning A Parameter In rsync

{note: I had a stroke in 2011, and am brain-damaged}

Here is the rsync parameter that is giving me problems:

BEGIN
...
rsync --archive --recursive --prune-empty-dirs --exclude=/home/kevin/.steam --delete-excluded --verbose --delete-after --stats /home/kevin /media/kevin/BU-1/
...

END

But the excluded directory home/kevin/.steam tree is still being copied.

Have I missed something?

exclude uses a relative path based on the source directory.

{PS: I don't to backups every day, generally every 2-3 days}
So it will be Wednesday or Thursday when I check it out.
