Question Question; Add Windows 7 to duel boot with Linux Mint?

I have Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon on a 500gb hdd and want to shrink the drive creating a 50gb partition for Windows 7 (some of my works programs need to run on the windows platform), I tried a VM but it wasn't very successful, it proved slow and troublesome. Without removing Mint is it possible to install Windows in a newly created partition or would it prove problematic? I don't wish to mess things up by screwing up the boot loader.

You need to save your config and after installing windows you need to restore - to be able to boot both linux and windows.
