problems trying to create shortcuts

Hi, I installed Mozilla via installer, to the default dir, but I do not have a icon in the kstart menu nor on the desktop. I right clicked the desktop and selected create - new - file and in the command I typed Mozilla. It works, but I do not have the xpm icon on the desktop. I also have no idea how to get it in the kmenu.

Please help as the transition to Lin is steep and convincing others to accept it is even harder when there no familiar programs.

Many thanks to all who have helped me so far.

TIA
cjae

did you use a suSE rpm? If you use packages other then your distros or compile from source code then its not gonna place entrys in the menu or desktop. you'll have to do it manually. Since i dont use suSe i don't no if it comes with a menueditor or and appfinder. You'll have to look around your distro.
