Thanks. A friend who got me into linux hadn't seen that yet. Guess when he down loads something, he will get it to.

Also, does any one have step by step instructions for installing tar.gz/tar programs? I haven't found one yet.

There is a great option here at LQ called search. We have it in white letters in the blue field above.

This question gets asked about 4 times a day, so it's hard to believe you searched for it and found nothing.

Tried LQ, still didn't find anything that I can understand.I maybe understand 20% of what people are talking about. I may just give up on linux and go back to Windows when I can buy a copy.Its so much simplier to use.

I'm using MEPIS, and I swear I found this too.

Not to get shot down in flames, but I was sure I'd changed the desktop wallpaper to something else... And then logged in to root one day to check my log files, and the wallpaper had changed to the skull & crossbones one!

Glad someone else has seen this too!

I couldn't see anything suspect in my logs, so decided I was just going crackers...

It's a story I'll tell my grandkids :/
