problem with nvid driver again :(

Sorry for all these questions guys,

when i type sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7664-pkg1.run

It unpacks and does all that (well whatever it does) it comes up with a screen saying i am running an X server.

How do i turn off/kill all the X server thingys (or whatever they are) so i can install it?
