Read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature. You have provided NO DETAILS about your configuration, hardware, OS, how you performed the installed/from what guides, and have provided only the most basic error message. There is nothing we can 'kindly help' with, unless you provide details.

Further, you need to do basic research first, as there are many, MANY guides on installing NS/aquasim...we will not look them up for you.

What guide are you following now?

Why have you chosen an old version of Ubuntu?

Bold added for emphasis. Did you even TRY to run this, to see what happened?

Re #7 : Please do not quote entire posts. A "one word reference" will do.

? Are you quite sure the OS is 32bits ?

Please do the command : $ uname -m
... will reply i686 or x86_64.

I have no issues on the 32bit Ubuntu 14.04 with $ gdebi ./nam_1.15-10_i386.deb
→ → nam works OK.
