Problem Installing Debian Sarge
Hello Everybody.
This is the first time i'm trying to install Linux (Debian 3.1r4 from DVD) and until now i've faced several problems.
First of all, if i enter linux26on the prompt, my keyboard freezes and i cannot procced in language selection etc.(I have PS2 keyboard).
If i just press enter on the prompt (without linux26) my keyboard works fine but after a while i get the following error "No partitionable media were found".(PS: i'm trying to install Debian on SATA)
After searching for a while in google, i changed SATA in BIOS to PATA, but now i get the message "Cound not mount CD-ROM"
I have a 3.0 GHz P-IV, with a SATA 200GB. The HD has 3 partitions (30GB, 70GB and 70GB), and 20GB unpartitioned space. In the 30GB i have installed winXP, and the other two 70 GB partitions are storage. I want to install Debian in the 20GB partition.
Any suggestions???
Thanx in advance and sorry for the big post.
