Question problem in nautilus


hi..
I'm using ubuntu 10.04 and whenever i start nautilus from command line it shows error:

it keeps on repeating error and nautilus hangs.

become root with sudo su, then "nautilus --browser&" the & will still let you use that terminal. It might fill up with crap, but you can run commands in it. Nautilus will always whine when you start it as root. It still works in my case, however. Ubuntu might have mutilated Nautilus, like they do all other aspects of the GNOME desktop. Fedora user and proud.

Well, you could do that too, I guess. I prefer becoming root before running root commands, because usually I have more to run.

remove ubuntuone and ubuntuone-gnome, run "nautilus -q"

or if KDE is also installed ( very common) use the kde root file manager it uses sudo and is only just a few mouse clicks
