Well, you do have a wifi interface and it's called wlp18s0. That probably means that your problem is not with hardware. You also have a wired ethernet interface called enp19s0, so while you're sorting out the wifi, you can plug the laptop into your router with an ethernet cable. That will make it much easier for you to answer our questions.

The next one to try is /sbin/ip link show wlp18s0. This will show a lot of information about the card and give a good indication of where the problem is.

Also do you know what network manager your distro is using? It's the job of the network manager to pick up the presence of the network and provide you with a graphical means of entering the necessary address and password. Most distros nowadays use wicd.
