Problem booting up ubuntu 7.10 after installing it on 7.04

Okay, so I was using 7.04 ubuntu until software manager comes and tells me to install 7.10..

i install it and it tells me to reboot, so i reboot. Now, after i go through yaboot it brings me to this:
ubuntu status bar screen
for about 40 seconds, then it goes to this command line prompt thing that says:

Code:
BusyBox v1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-5ubuntu7) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

(initramfs) _
BTW, I'm running powerpc

Thanks,

Alex:guitar::KS

P.S. also, when i do alt-f1, it says:
Code:
Loading, please wait...
       Check root= bootarg cat /proc/cmdline
       or missing modules, devices: cat /proc/modules ls /dev
ALERT! /dev/hda3 does not exist. Dropping to a shell!

You appear to have an inaccessible hda3. Have you tried fsck to check what is going on with your filesystem?
