Hello people,

I have RH9 with Gnome Printer Manager

I have a parallel printer Canon BJC-265SP. It works fine under Windows XP.

When I boot up Kudzu recognises it and allow me to cofigure it.

I used Gnome-gui to add it and it has been added successfuly as local connected.

But when I come down to print the test page nothing happens!!!
Not even a flashing light!!!

I've checked the hardwae browser and it sees the printer but driver is unknown?!?!?! even though I have selected it from the generic option when configuring it.

The driver is well known and also works for BJC-2500.

I've looked a bit everyhere on the net but without much answers...
I've tried a few things like selecting poscript or raw data instead of the canon generic driver and then I get my printer to print some funny stuff like:

%!PS-Adobe-3.0
%%BoundingBox: 0 0 612 792
%%Pages: 1
%%LanguageLevel: 1
%%Documentda
ta: Clean7Bit

And so on...

Unfortunately I'm a newbie and dun't know much about the coomand line I could type in the terminal to try to solve the problem anybody could help?
