shirley@shirley-Vostro-200 ~ $ sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
b43-fwcutter is already the newest version.
b43-fwcutter set to manually installed.
firmware-b43-installer is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 25 not upgraded.

cant figure it out. How do I manually install it right now it has WL for a driver. I have downloaded the chipset driver but not supported.BCM4318 Card-1: Broadcom BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller driver: wl bus-ID: 02:00.0
IF: N/A state: N/A mac: N/A

I found a tutorial in here about installing this but dont know if I can now that its set to manually install? But then I've follwed about 50 other ones and cant do it! It didnt help that my desktop changed to GNOME and I have Ubunta 13.04 on it now. I installed Mint 15 with Mate and got to know how to move around and poof new desktop. Will get to that next. lol
Please advise. Thank you.

you can go with b43, b43-fwcutter, kernel driver, etc OR the binary, which blacklists b43. Either or, not both. I have always used b43. This is the definitive instruction set for b43.

Decide which to ose. Go for it.
Let us know how you get on (or not)
