Port 22??

Can some one please give me the reason why port 22 is commented out in /etc/ssh/sshd_config? We know ssh occur at port 22, but if the port is comment out in config file, how ssh is still running?? Thank you

22 is the standard. The standard ports are listed in /etc/services. You only need to put it in sshd_config if you are making it non-standard.

Basically the server configures many parameters by default and the common ones are included in the configuration file as comments.
